I’ve always been into sport and keeping active right from when I was at school, I didn’t usually get picked for school events, but never lost any appetite for exercise and being healthy.
After finishing my HND Leisure and Recreation Management course at BCFTCS in 2002, I was offered a job training to become a personal trainer under personal trainer and former body builder Rob Blakeman. When I left Birmingham in August 2002 and returned back to Cornwall, I ended up getting at job at Callington Sports Centre (now known as Callington Sport and Leisure). I continued to develop my knowledge and skills, whilst transforming customer’s lives. In 2004 I launched Sculpting Fitness, and started covering some gym hours at Bodyzone Gym in Tavistock. In 2004 I started to add in nutrition training to the business and studying Sports Therapy so that I could treat and rehabilitate clients with injuries.
In 2005, I was lucky to gain work experience with;
Plymouth Argyle FC
Plymouth Albion RFU
Hereford United FC
Marquette Universities Golden Eagles.
In 2005, Steve because club Therapist to Tavistock Rugby club and over the years his clubs included;
Launceston FC
Plymouth Argyle Ladies
Devon FA reps sides
Devon FA Girls Centre of Excellence
Plymouth Titans
Tavistock FC
Devon RFL
South West England RFL
