Sports Therapy is a growing industry within the UK, working with non-sporting people, to those Recreational Athletes up to those who are Professionals. It combines a strength and conditioning for injury prevention and rehabilitation to massage, injury assessment and exercise and electrotherapy for treatment purposes. Sports Therapy has similarities and differences with Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (MSK), whereas MSK physiotherapy tends to focuses on getting people back to their day to day activities, Sports Therapy focuses more on getting people back into playing sport and preventing reoccurrences of the injury, rather than daily activities which is the main aim of MSK physiotherapy.
Sculpting Fitness’s owner Steve Lilley has been working as a Sports Therapist since 2006, and has worked with Athletes in both the UK and USA, including international Athletes, and Professional Players. Steve’s Sports Therapy for Sporting activities has included the following sports.
